On October 9th, rookie girl group WEEEKLY released their MV teaser for their 1st comeback title track, ‘Zig Zag’. The song is in the track list for their forthcoming 2nd mini album, ‘We Can’. Check it out down below!
WEEEKLY ‘ZIG ZAG’ MV TEASER:
Watching the short teaser, we see the girls take part in various pursuits. These include playing table tennis, fencing, taekwondo, hosting radio shows baking and performing in a band. It then transitions into group scenes where we see the group pull fellow member Jihan in different directions who poorly has multiple strings attached to her. Along with that, there is a short snippet of choreography. The group utilise cube shaped ottomans as part of their routine, moving them around to create an interesting dimension to their performance. It ends with the members sitting on them whilst making cute expressions.
Throughout the video we also hear a sneak peek of the track. It has a youthful feel with an upbeat drum and electric bass. Upon adding vocals, the bright tones add a catchy appeal that bring springiness to the tune.
Debuting in June earlier this year, the group grabbed K=Pop fans attention with their energetic youthful concept. Their engaging performances of their debut track, ‘Tag Me’ where they used school desks and chairs as props brought them a unique way to stand out from other debuting rookies. Now performing with ottomans, fans are intrigued to find out how the full performance of this upcoming title track will look like on stage and the future growth for the septet.
