Between October 12th and 16th, girl group TWICE released concept films for five of its nine members ahead of their 2nd full album, ‘Eyes Wide Open’ featuring the title track, ‘I Can’t Stop Me’. The members revealed thus far are Nayeon, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu, Sana and Jihyo. Check them out down below!
TWICE ‘EYES WIDE OPEN’ INDIVIDUAL MEMBER CONCEPT FILMS:
In all the films, the members’ visuals shine through with the various angles and close-ups shot. They showcase two different looks in each teaser. The first has the members in simple black dresses. Vibrant in colour, the background shows a wall stuck with a diverse selection of flowers, thus bringing the members’ solid black outfits to contrast. A dreamy music piece sounds in the background as the video contains shots of the members played forwards and reverse to display their true beauty.
Halfway through, the films change to have the members dressed in more girl crush outfits. These include suits and pants, as well as coats and dresses over a black and white filter. The outfits overall have a vintage almost regal vibe to them as the members facial features are enhanced by the colourless filter. Eyes piercing and capturing attention, the instrumental changes to include a drum and guitar with retro sounding synths.
The girl group is celebrating their 5th anniversary this month as they debuted on October 20th, 2015. They have been releasing contents relating to that as well as continuing to air episodes of their group reality show on their official YouTube channel. This comeback marks the group’s return in four months since their 9th mini album, ‘More & More’ which was promoted with the identically named title track. This is also the group’s 1st full album since ‘Twicestagram’, promoted alongside the lead single, ‘Likey’ was released back in 2017.
