On August 10th, new project group TRIPLE SEVEN debuted with their single, ‘PRESENTE’. The seven member act combines the members of veteran boy group B.I.G, and trio girl group 3YE. Both are managed under GH Entertainment, thus in combining their groups, they wish to show a unique flavour of K-Pop only displayed with co-ed groups. Choosing the number 7 represents the unity and luck the septet will have in preparing their strong blend of male and female performers.
Lyrically, the track sings about the burning passion between two lovers and to take advantage of the time they have together. Its instrumental, like its title is heavily inspired with a Latin beat that pummels the track’s entirety. There is nice harmonisation between the members during certain parts, particularly during the chorus. In other sections, the members alternate hence giving us a wide range of variety in vocal and rap tones. Fans of either existing group will be able to appreciate their talents in this brand new endeavor.

Watching the music video, it primarily focuses on three main sets. We get introduced to the group through their silhouette figures. As the lights brighten, we see exotic printed cloths hanging from the ceiling as the members wear chic summery outfits showing off their charisma. The water filled set allows us to see their quick footwork and cohesion as a unit, along with several backup dancers to create an unstoppable impact visually. Finally, the last setting is at the nightclub bar. With lights strobing in a dimmer atmosphere, the members continue to party it up amongst the crowd.
Under this collaboration, the project group plan to return seasonally. This is alongside any other activities that their two respective groups would have on their own. However, as they all managed under the same company, scheduling of their comebacks should be much simpler. Hinging on the success of this track, let’s hope fans support will lead to another track from the new act. Promotions for this single have already started with the group performing on MBC M‘s ‘Show Champion’ on Wednesday.
