On April 7th, Mnet aired episode 2 of the survival show, ‘Queendom 2’. Previously in episode 1, we saw the contestants (consisting of HYOLYN, VIVIZ, WJSN, BRAVE GIRLS, LOONA and KEP1ER) meet and size up the competition. Round 1 was introduced for the acts to perform their signature song, and we saw performances by HYOLYN and VIVIZ both performing their former group’s hits (‘Touch My Body’ and a remix of ‘Time For The Moon Night’ and ‘Rough’)
In this second episode, we saw the remaining round 1 performances, as well as the rankings of round 1 as a whole. If you haven’t checked out these performances, watch below.
WJSN – ‘AS YOU WISH’
BRAVE GIRLS – ‘CHI MAT BA RAM’ AND ‘ROLLIN”
LOONA – ‘PTT (PAINT THE TOWN)’
KEP1ER – ‘WA DA DA’
The rank was based on three metrics; contestants voting on whose performance they thought they did better/worse than, live global votes, and votes from the live Korean audience. Unfortunately for LOONA, due to COVID-19, the group was unable to perform during the time all other acts performed. Hence, they were by default ranked 6th as they were not able to be scored.
The final round 1 rankings are as follows:
- HYOLYN
- WJSN
- VIVIZ
- KEP1ER
- BRAVE GIRLS
Note that if any act is ranked last in two rounds in a row, they will be eliminated and no longer be able to participate in the show.
