MXM, also known as Brand New Boys, have just released the MV teaser for ‘Checkmate‘. The boy group had already given a short preview in their highlight medley which was released yesterday. ‘Checkmate‘ is the second track on their upcoming first album ‘More Than Ever‘. The other title track is ‘YA YA YA‘. ‘More Than Ever‘ contains 14 original tracks, including songs composed by Wanna One‘s Lee Daehwi. Daehwi is also under Brand New Music.

The MV has an unusual chess concept since the title is ‘Checkmate‘. Both members sit across each other at a long table. The floor is reminiscent of a chessboard with black and white squares. The boys also wear black and white suits. This MV is bound to be cute and fun as the teaser features close-ups of the boys smiling and enjoying themselves. It also features interesting props like a pendulum, glasses of wine, and a vintage clock. Meanwhile, the song is upbeat and groovy.
