As the year known as “the worst of K-Pop‘s history” gets closer to its end, we’ve started to think about the following year. Everyone surely hopes 2015 will be better, and we’ve already been promised some things that will make sure it’s a great year.
For this reason, we from Officially Kmusic have made a list of things to wait for next year to leave you even more excited! Check it out:
1. Yesung Leaving The Army
One of Super Junior‘s main vocals is coming back from the army! Will we be seeing another comeback?
2. SHINee Jonghyun’s Solo Debut
Yes guys, it’s official, and it seems like it’s already going to happen in January!
3. f(x) Amber’s Solo Debut
Another SM Entertainment artist has confirmed her solo debut early next year, and it’s Amber! The release is slated for some time in February. What kind of concept do you expect from her?
4. CNBLUE Yonghwa’s Solo Album
CNBLUE‘s leader Yonghwa had announced his solo album for later this year, but since we have yet to see any teasers thus far, we believe it will be left for 2015. This has been alluded to by several official sources as well. Let’s wait for it!
5. CL’s Debut In The U.S.
This has been announced by YG Entertainment a few months ago, and we’re surely excited to see how well CL will do in this new market.
6. IKON’s Debut
The group formed by the winners of “Mix&Match” has their debut confirmed for the first half of 2015. Well, since we’re talking about YG, it might obviously be postponed to the end of the year, but either way, we hope to see them soon!
7. BIGBANG’s Comeback
Okay, this has not been confirmed or announced, but WE WON’T GIVE UP! We’ll wait for BIGBANG‘s comeback every year until it happens, and 2015 won’t be an exception!
8. Pink Punk’s Debut
The girls’ debut has been postponed year by year, and we’re still hoping to see it happen soon. YG has already revealed many of the members (including Jennie Kim, Lalisa Manoban, and Kim Jisoo). With the addition of Jang Hanna this year, will we be able to see them in 2015?
9. JYP’s 5Live And 6Mix Debuts
JYP Entertainment had announced the debut of a boygroup named 5Live and a girlgroup named 6Mix for 2014, but it hasn’t happened. Do you think it might happen in 2015? I have the feeling that they are waiting to debut them along with IKON and Pink Punk, in order to directly compete with YG’s rookies.
10. Cube Entertainment’s New Girl Group CLC’s Debut
Cube Entertainment has announced a new multi-national girl group for 2015, and one of the members has already been revealed. Are you excited?
11. Starship Entertainment’s New Boy Group Debut
Starship Entertainment has started a competition show, “NO.MERCY,” in order to form their new boy group that will debut next year. Have you already watched it? Which contestant is your favorite so far?
12. Brown Eyed Girls’ Comeback
Although the date hasn’t been settled yet, JeA has already announced a group comeback for 2015, which will be really cool since we haven’t seen them since their comeback with “KILL BILL” in 2013.
13. EXO’s Comeback
After almost an year full of issues regarding EXO, they have finally announced a comeback for early 2015. Unfortunatelly, it seems like it’ll be with only 10 members.
14. Lots of Infinite
The boys have settled their comeback to February, and it seems like their sub-unit, Infinite H, will also have a comeback, and member Sunggyu will have a solo debut! Infinite definitely have prepared a lot for 2015.
15. Resolutions In Legal Issues
After so many legal actions taken in 2014, it seems like we’ll finally see the results of them. Kris and Luhan‘s contract issues with SM Entertainment will go to court in January, and we may finally find out the future of the two EXO members. B.A.P‘s contract situation with TS Entertainment might also be solved early next year.
The same might occur in Megan Lee‘s situation with Seoul Shop Entertainment, and Lovelyz‘s Jisoo legal situation regarding the bad rumors about her. We hope all of this is settled in the beggining of 2015, so we can leave all of it behind and start the year off on the right foot.
These are just some of the things that will or might happen in 2015, and there are surely many others that we still don’t know about.
Make sure you stay tuned to Officially Kmusic next year in order to keep updated about everything that happens in the K-Pop world!
