VIXX started their ‘VIXX Fan Meeting Tour in Se-Asia’ by landing themselves in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The boys have been quite busy, yet they still bring their all to every event that they attend to. There was no exception in Kuala Lumpur as the boys brought unforgettable moments to their fans.
The large amount of those attending made this event extra special. hundreds of Starlights waited outside in the lobby; all filled with excitement and happiness. Once the doors opened, fans were hit with many great tracks from VIXX, causing many cheers and chants along with the song title.
Once the light dimed, Starlights chanted VIXX’s name and the excitement level became extremely intense. The anticipation could be felt in the air! I can assure you that zero Starlight fans were disappointed on the day. VIXX put in their all and fans were very grateful for each moment.
In a brief Q & A session between VIXX and their Starlight, everyone wanted to know which VIXX member lost their passport at the airport. Ravi joked that he wanted to stay longer at Malaysia. N was asked to sing in an aegyo cute but instead he poured his heart out in ‘Tearful’. He sang this track previously in ‘The Masked Singer’, causing the fans to become silent and admire his voice.
Since it was a fan meet, there were many moments between tracks that VIXX were able to calm down and interact with the fans. Many things were organised to get everyone’s attention. One of the things included the pair game mission! The boys had to pass along a circular chip ring from one side to the other. It was definitely a moment that had fans screaming and cheering the boys on! There was a cute interaction between N and Leo, where they had to jump the rope together. What’s even more amazing was fans chorally count the numbers from one to five in Korean as the boys jumped rope! It was a touching moment that revealed the bond between VIXX and Malaysian Starlight.
Another great part about a fan meet is that fans are able to experience something that tends to be rare. One of these moments includes hearing member Hyuk sing ‘I’ll Hold You’. Fans experienced a once in a life opportunity to be touched by Hyuk’s vocals. The fans joined in and blew Hyuk away as they sang along in Korean. It brought Starlights to tears.
Then came the amazing performances from VIXX. VIXX continues to show just how great they are at dancing and just how great their vocals are. The boys performed many of their great tracks. They started it off with ‘On and On’ and ‘Hyde’. These two tracks are quite old yet it still is touching to listen to. You could tell which fans have been with VIXX since the beginning.
Then comes the songs ‘Eternity’, ‘B.O.D.Y’ and ‘Someday’. It was the point where the mood dimmed down as we enjoyed the beautiful vocals in VIXX. The boys were beautiful under the pink light and from their faces, they got a bit emotional during the slow ballads. Although fanchants were quite rare, they reveal the strong connection between VIXX and Starlight.
The boys had also performed ‘Black Out’, ‘Voodoo Doll’, ‘Fantasy’, ‘Desperate’ and ‘Love Me Do’. The little things that VIXX does has always captured the fans’ attention. But now, since Malaysian Starlights get to see them live, their dance choreography performance became enhanced. It much better to see in real life as the actions that we see on the computer screen becomes more real and energetic. Every movement the boys do makes the screams louder to the point that fans are jumping and following the beat with the VIXX light stick!
The lighting deserves a special mention as it enhances the fans’ experience. It brought VIXX’s performance to another level, leaving all fans beyond satisfied. The boys ended the night with their thank yous and appreciation towards the fans. Malaysia screamed back with bittersweet love. VIXX appreciated the things that Starlight did for them as this commemorates their fifth year anniversary! They ended the night with VIXX taking a polaroid selfie to give to one lucky fan!
