On October 15th, Mnet aired the 11th episode of its audition survival show, ‘GIRLS PLANET 999’. In this episode we saw the remaining 25 girls compete in a new ‘O.O.O’ mission. Dividing the contestants into 3 teams, they performed the theme song to the show, ‘O.O.O’ once again. However, each girl would be competing against the other girls in their team. The winner from each team was determined by the number of likes received on their individual fancams (released last week) within the first 24 hours of their release. The winners from each of teams were Choi Yujin, Huening Bahiyyih, Seo Youngeun. Each winner received 80,000 or 90,000 points to their individual score ranking them in the elimination.
Moving from this part, this episode served us the 3rd and final ranking reveal before the finale. The girls ranked from #1-#17 survived in this round. In addition, one girl who would otherwise be eliminated would be selected to continue to the final with a ‘Planet Pass’. Keep in mind, the top 9 contestants will ultimately make the lineup of the debuting group. It is currently unknown what the name of the group will be, nor the duration and terms of their contract. The remaining surviving contestants from #10-#17 are as follows: Su Ruiqi, Kim Chaehyun, Kang Yeseo, Huening Bahiyyih, Wen Zhe, Kim Bora, Huang Xingqiao, Kim Suyeon. Of the 26 girls who entered the elimination, all 9 K group members survived. This led to 5 C group, and 4 J group members to enter the finale.
Although the show did not reveal the ranks of the eliminated contestants, the girls who have now left the show are as follows: Cai Bing, Chen Hsin Wei, Ikema Ruan, Kamimoto Kotone, Kishida Ririka, May, Nagai Manami, and Zhou Xinyu.
The finale will be held live on October 22nd, 8PM KST. It is watchable on the Mnet YouTube channel. Voting for the final lineup is currently running through the Universe app. Voters can vote for 1 girl once per day. The voting will end on 10am of the finale day, however voting will reopen during the live finale.
