Fans of K-Pop idols have showed their generous hearts many times in the past, and they have united once again due to the tragic events involving the sunken ferry.
Fan groups of EXO, VIXX, B.A.P, Infinite, GOT7 and Block B have been sending relief aids, including paper cups, coffee, hot packs and vitamin, in the names of their favorite groups.
They have also sent their mental support, with messages like, “All I can offer is a hot cup of coffee” and “This isn’t much but I hope this helps at least a little bit.”
Additionally, fans of Jang Geun Suk stated, “We posted the details of a wire transfer we made to the Nonghyup Hanaro Mart located near the Sewol Ferry accident site on our official fan café. The mart is delivering things needed by the family members who are waiting at the Jindo Gymnasium, ” donating over 5 million won (around 4,800 USD).
Actor Lee Jun Ki’s official fanclub is also holding a fundriser, and announced, “If we gather our sincere hearts, we believe a miracle can happen. We are accepting donations.” The actor himself cancelled his fan meeting and birthday celebration with fans which was scheduled to be hold on April 19th.
