“Beautiful Man,” starring singer IU and actor Jang Geun Suk is showing a change in ratings for the better.
Nielsen Korea reported that the KBS 2TV Wednesday-Thursday drama Beautiful Man broadcasted its eight episode of the series on December 12th and had a nationwide rating of 3.1%. This is a 0.2% improvement in ratings compared to the previous episodes which had a viewership rating of 2.9%.

On the 8th episode of Beautiful Man, Dokko Ma Te (Jang Geun Suk) faces a tough decision when he is forced to get involved in a scandal involving Myo Mi (Park Ji Yoon), a hot celebrity in the midst of a lesbian controversy that is threatening to destroy her career. A fake relationship is forced to begin, then an awkward date ensues in order to serve as a decoy to the actresses secret. At the end of the episode Myo Mi finally reveals her hidden secret!
Meanwhile, the SBS drama “The Heirs” and MBC’s “Medical Top Team” aired their final episodes, recording ratings of 25.6% and 5.6% in viewership respectively, ensuring a successful ending. Beautiful Man still has eight episodes left to go to pick up the pace. But will it be able to meet the success of The Heirs and Medical Top Team or will it just become a drama known for its all-star cast?
