OHHYUK and CIFIKA team up for eccentric track “MOMOM”!

OHHYUK has teamed up with CIFIKA in newest track “MOMOM (Body Mind)“. The track takes on a futuristic tone with a catchy Hip Hop vibe.

First of all, the dancer is not OHHYUK, rather someone who looks strikingly similar. He dominates most of the initial half of the MV. Both OHHYUK  and CIFIKA are seen wearing space like helmets throughout the MV, alluding to the overall futuristic theme. There’s a dream like element to the MV, although part of it seems a little nightmarish at times. It distorts and plays with reality, creating a psychedelic dystopian like world.

CIFIKA and OHHYUK both have very distinct voices. Their tone is similar, allowing their voices to blend effortlessly together in this track. The lyrics sing of a need to let go in order to go forwards. But the struggle also between needing to let go and not wanting to let go.

OHHYUK is well known as the leader singer of the band HYUKOH. CIFIKA is well known in the underground K-Indie scene, having released numerous tracks on her soundcloud account. The track is the harmony between the band sound and electronic beats but both artist are individually well known for.

CIFIKA is a well known artist internationally. Having debuted officially in 2016 with track “OOZO (Space)“. Her name has featured in popular international blogs such as Hypebeast, Dazed and Highsnobiety. In March of 2017, CIFIKA attended an interview on BBC radio to discuss her unique musical style in the current music industry. She is definitely an artist worth keeping an eye on.
